The typical UK June weather might be a washout so far, but on the events front it’s hotter than your latest crush. There’s no excuse for staying in of an evening this month…

12 June – Scottish Technology Showcase

This free event will host 1500 delegates, 150 exhibitors and 20 industry speakers to talk about tech in business. There’s a funding zone, a demo zone, a workshop zone and even a matchmaking zone, so hot-foot it over, you might get lucky Winking smile

14 June – Ubelly Windows 8 camp – Brighton

Ready to start coding on Windows 8? This is a hands-on day of activity where you bring your laptop and write your first Windows 8 code, using HTML, CSS and JS. We have hands-on labs for you to work through with help from our instructors (The Beebs and Dr. Spooner no less) or you can bring along an existing application that you want to progress and get feedback on. See you there!

16 June – Free Elections Hackathon

Fancy putting your skills to work helping monitor the electoral process in countries where restrictions prevent domestic and international reviews? Free Elections Hackathon brings together technology and skills from around the world to support free and fair elections.

19-20 June – LeWeb London

LeWeb London will explore the idea of Faster than Real Time, with a pretty awesome line-up of speakers ranging from Martha Lane Fox, UK Digital Champion and Google’s Bradley Horowitz to Jamie Oliver (yep you read correctly) and Mike Butcher from TechCrunch. Can’t wait!

20 June  – The Critters

The Critters are back for a 2nd year, honouring the best and brightest in web and app design and development. If you’ve not got a ticket, make sure you follow Ubelly this week for a chance to get your hands on an invitation to the hottest party of 2012 (so far).

21 June – MK Geek Night

MK Geek Night is a free meet up in Milton Keynes for people to meet up over a few beers and chat about web design, development, UX, technology, creative stuff, photography and general geekery. But it’s not just your average meet up – the headline speakers are Brendan Dawes and Jon Hicks.

22 June – Microsoft Cloud Day: Windows Azure, Windows 8, Devices and Open Source innovations

If you’re building or considering building applications for the cloud, then this event is a must. There’s a great line up of speakers including UK experts in Node, PHP and Java plus a top speaker from Microsoft Redmond for a day of content, discussion, practical advice and networking. The Open Source track will run in parallel to a track for .net developers.

22 June – Technology Ventures Conference 2012

This is a high level conference focusing on the current investment climate and identifying the next generation of high-tech innovation and business trends. Sessions are held in cloud computing, sustainable energy and personal healthcare with interactive workshops and an exhibition area to showcase new technologies. We won’t be there but if you’re going we’d love to hear from you @ubelly.

22 June – BEAM Festival 2012

BEAMis a high-tech music weekender where you can listen to, watch and learn how to create your own physically living electronic music, no less.  The focus on electronic music being created LIVE is explored through a programme of performances, demonstrations, installations and workshops.
