Over a thousand Carphone Warehouse staff from across the UK suggested their favourite apps in the first stages of nominations, spanning a wide range of subjects from Best Celebrity & Entertainment, to Best Food & Cooking, Best News & Weather and Best Games. The entries from Carphone Warehouse staff were debated by a panel of expert judges, who carefully selected the top five apps for each category to go through to public voting.

The red carpet event will be hosted by a special guest host, alongside celebrity presenters of the awards, followed by a night of music and entertainment.
