Communications

In this interview, Brandon Watson talks to Ian Todd about the new communications functionality on Windows Phone 7. They discuss how the new features such as Groups and Threads came about and how threading has changed the way that Ian communicates – it allows users to respond to people on Facebook, SMS or Messenger all from one place within the phone.

Ian asks developers to bear in mind the trade off between power and complexity – think of the user’s battery when adding functionality on your applications – again, reduce, reduce, reduce.
