A bunch of first tweets

With plenty of news about the first ever tweet sent from the top of Mount Everest, which turned out to be the following tweet last year, I thought I’d take a look at some other first tweets.

First and foremost, we should take a look at Ubelly’s first tweet. Thanks for mytweet16.com we can find this out, and see that in true nature of our love for blogging, we got straight to the point:

Keeping in the theme of Microsoft legends, how about a look at Bill’s first tweet? Despite being hard at work, Bill Gates sent a hello message to the entire worl on 19 Jan 2010 to let us all know what he was getting up to :) Cheers Bill.

From founder of Microsoft to founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey was the first ever person to send a tweet from Twitter (or twttr as he refers to it). Thankfully they dropped the lack of vowels and despite being sent way back in 2006 on 21 March, the tweet continues to generate hundreds of recent retweets. (Notice the link too, look how short it is!)

While all of these are pretty darn significant, the coolest of them all has to be the first ever tweet from outer space – specifically the International Space Station. I’m betting you get epic 3G signal up there with all those satellites floating around!

These are all cool, but how about our readers?! What was your first tweet? Let us know in the comments.
