No, it’s not a new programming language, you read that correctly. Today, Friday 18th March at 12:15pm GMT the world famous Rob Miles will be delivering a lecture at the University of Hull on Windows Phone Development in Rhyme. You can watch and listen live via this link http://bitly.com/fgkrLk.
Rob has written the incredibly successful Windows Phone 7 Curriculum on Faculty Connection and is well known in the academic space in the UK and around the world for his knowledge, sense of humour and can-do attitude. So much so that he is presenting at MIX on XNA Game Studio for Fun, Profit, Danger, Excitement and Windows Phone 7 Games.
The broadcast today is not just for fun, Rob is doing this for Comic Relief (aka Red Nose Day), an amazing day of activity to raise funds for charities around the world. So even if you can’t watch the broadcast live you can still donate to his cause here for vulnerable people in the UK and Africa. He has set himself a modest target and has already put in a huge amount of work – please help us to help him overachieve.
The session will be recorded and made available online after the event if you don’t catch it on the day. I’ll post a link in the comments below when it’s live.
The recording is now available. Thanks to Rob Miles for a great session and also to everyone who supported it by donating to Comic Relief.
