5 Inspirational HTML5 and NEWT Examples

On this quiet Friday afternoon I thought I’d share with you a few Incredible HTML5 example sites that I’ve stumbled across over the past few months. If you have any better ones. Please add them to the Comments:

Move your mouse and create something unique and beautiful. You’ll need headphones to full appreciate this SVG and JavaScript extravaganza.

One of the really interesting aspects of HTML5 video is the ability to capture each frame and process it using the canvas tag. This demo shows some of the effects that can be created with this technique.

Sky Beautiful – http://www.skybeautiful.com

Once Sky Beautiful is loaded you can click on the various Constellations to find out more information. I also give this site a double thumbs up because in the title bar it says “Hi Beautiful”, I don’t know what technology they used to access my web camera and determine that I was indeed beautiful, but it’s impressive none the less.

The weather has been pretty mild this week but if you’re missing the snow then take a look at this snow effect created by Seb Lee-Delisle the code to recreate this is commented and available on github.

Jack and the Beans Talk – http://jackinthe.cloudapp.net

Now this demo takes along time to load… but even that doesn’t bother me because it has a great little bean counter loading animation at the beginning.
